The Truth

 Questions...  Answers...
While at the Harrison County Fair in July a woman asked if the Republican's had a plan in Ohio  A response was received from John Kasich's team outlining his plan to lower taxes and to phase out the state income tax to bring companies back to Ohio and with them jobs that we so desperately need.  Read the response here.  See video of John Kasich's comments here.

"Second, we saved our rual hospitals from potential closure.  My district is home to 13 hospitals, all of which struggle each year to keep their doors open because they treat a higher number of patients who depend on Medicare or Medicaid, patients on which hospitals lose money.  My changes to the bill ensured these hospitals could stay open, remaining critical care centers and robust employers in our region." Hospitals on losing money because they treat a high percentage of Medicare/Medicaid patients and he wants to vote on legislation that will create a government option that will exacerbate the problem.  This was in a letter from Zack Space speaking on the healthcare legislation coming up for a vote.
Watch President Obama's comments from the recent ABC News Special on Healthcare. This email points to lines within the text of the healthcare bill that refutes his comments.  This legislation is bad for Americans - even President Obama and Congress would not signup for the government healthcare option - see this link. 1,018 pages of America's Affordable Health Choices of 2009
Apparently Senators Voinovich and Brown do not feel that the Second Amendment is important enough to place as an issue on their websites.  Their disregard for citizens rights to keep and bear arms has become all to apparent on their recent vote on S1390 which would allow citizens with a conceal carry permit from a state that they reside in to carry concealed firearms in another State that grants concealed carry permits, if the individual complies with the laws of the State. Both Senators voted against S1390
"What do we do in two years?  I'll cross that bridge when I come to it,"  said Governor Ted Strickland (The Plain Dealer, 4/29/09) State Auditor Mary Taylor reports that Strickland's budget will create an $8 billion deficit by 2013... for every $10 in spending $1 is one-time money... Statement from Chairman DeWine regarding Strickland's budget
This administration refers to terrorism as "man-caused disasters" and now, if you fight for issues such as abortion, gun rights and taxes you are labeled an "extremist".

"Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration." DHS Report on Rightwing Extremism

Confirmed: The Obama DHS hit job on conservatives is real

"Please know that I am concerned with any deficit spending that is included in the FY10 budget.  However, President Obama's budget includes a return to statutory Pay-As-You-Go Budgeting, a budget enforcement rule that I support and to which I am committed.  I am hopeful that this Congress, with the new Administration, will help us return to an era of fiscal responsibility."  Quoted from an email from Zack Space

PAYGO is not designed to reduce federal spending. It is not even designed to slow the growth rate of spending. It only limits the creation of new entitlement benefits above the spending growth baseline. In fact, entitlement spending grew faster after statutory PAYGO took effect in 1991.
"I am proud to champion efforts to improve the wages and working conditions for all Americans."  Sherrod Brown Senator Brown voted to table discussion on Amendment 604 of the Omnibus bill that would have extended E-Verify for 5-years. Federal contractors would be required to check the elegibility of employees.  By voting to table discussion, this Amendment will not come up for a vote and Omnibus money could be going to the homeland of undocumented workers and keeping valuable jobs from American workers.
